driver timeout issue on Windows 10 when installing USB CDC

Does anyone have experience resolving the driver timeout issue on Windows 10 when installing USB CDC (Communication Device Class) driver? This is regarding renesas synergy platform MCUs.
Thanks, Bryan
Hi,
Have you seen this?
By default, Windows 10 comes with a built in .inf driver to handle USB CDC devices, however on some hardware configurations, it causes issues with Renesas Synergy kits. Using an alternative driver file will enable your machine to communicate with Synergy boards using Serial emulation via USB.
Thanks, Fabatera, for this link/info. This is helpful.
