Hi,
I've just started playing with the gcc port for msp430.
I've compiled and linked my program with:
msp430-gcc test.c -o test -I /cygdrive/c/mspgcc/msp430/include
-mmcu=msp430x449 -g
But when I run msp430-gdb, I get, when I run "file test" :
"test": not in executable format: File f...
Hello All,

Greetings.
I have been using MSP430-gdb on linux succesfully with the MSP430F149
chip. However when I use the MSP430F169 chip the device is not
recognised and the "erase" command does not work.
Other commands work OK eg "load" and "continue"
I would appreciate if somebody could suggest a ...

Does anyone have any idea how AVR and MSP430 compare in terms of floating
point and integer math? We need to do some computational number crunching
(preprocessing) in our devices but aren't sure which of the above to pick.
The MSP430 is 16 bits so it should be faster in math it seems to me, but...

Hello,
to go a step further from here. In your sorce the algorithm as such as
desribed very well. And there are lots of existing 32bit algorihms, but it
is very hard to find a 16 bit-algorithm, that can be easily deployed and
used for the msp430.

I've been planning on using a MSP430 for all my very low powered

Hi all,
I hope that you'll be fine. I am pretty new to the embedded systems. We

The TI MSP430 looks like an interesting chip. The low power
operation allows 16 bit adc onchip. Now they seem to be doing the

software written for oth...

Hi All,
I have this problem with my MSP430 controller. I want to use a 30

The data sheet specifies 2 modes where in S0-S27 are LCD functions or
S0-S31 are LCD functions.
Is there a way of making S0 to S29 as LCD functions.
