Discussion Groups | Rabbit-Semi | Fwd: Problem With SHDesigns Serial DownLoader

This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions, flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.

Fwd: Problem With SHDesigns Serial DownLoader - fierza83 - Oct 15 12:09:20 2009

Hello!!
I'm working with LP3500 (Rabbit 3000 and Dynamic C 9.62).
I have a problem with Serial Downloader.

I compile the program SerDLTest.c to flash and I run it (Serial Port B, and I use the SDL-Generic-B-Dbg.bin RAM loader).

Then I change the cable program and I use the "Diag" connected to the hyperterminal through a USB-serial converter for debbug. And when I'm with the PC utility, (after selecting the serial port and the baud rate and connect), when I select search, I get the following response:

Searching for board.
Serial port: COM1: opened at 115200 baud.

Status: MTU=1200, ID: 'Serial download test - Using Generic Loaders.' - Has bootloader in XMEM FLASH.

But when I try to download a program I get the following response:

No Response, retry block!
No Response, retry block!

...Searching for board.
Searching for board (looking for RAM loader)
Sent RAM Loader Run command to target!

And using the programming cable in "Diag" for port A I get the following response:

SEGSIZE=d6
MMIDR=80
MECR=0
MTCR=0
MB0CR=c8
MB1CR=c2
MB2CR=c5
MB3CR=c5
GCSR=9
GCSRIO=9
STACKSEG=a8
DATASEG=b1
RAMCS=5
Ready to download over me!

Run RAM Downloader - Serial download test - Using Generic Loaders.
115200 baud, Addr=0x6a26, 19453 bytes
SEGSIZE=d6
MMIDR=80
MECR=0
MTCR=0
MB0CR=c8
MB1CR=c2
MB2CR=c5
MB3CR=c5
GCSR=9
GCSRIO=9
STACKSEG=a8
DATASEG=b1
RAMCS=5
Ready to download over me!

I think that it restarted.
I use the programming cable connected to the hyperterminal through a USB-serial converter.

And the port B by which I download my program is directly connected to the computer serial port.

Someone can help me?
Thank you very much
