This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions,
flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.

Hello,
I want to realise a domótica installation to control and supervision a heating system.
Its possible with rabbit elements?
Thank you.

The simple answer is 'of course it is possible'.
Rabbit produce a range of products from processor chips and IO Chips, throu=
gh core modules and mini modules, to single board computers.
They have various combinations of I/O, including parallel ports, serial por=
ts (RS232 and RS485), Analog inputs and digital I/O.
They are all fully programmable, so they can do anything really.
It's up to you as the system designer to set out the requirments, produce a=
spec, develope the product and test it.
To begin with you need to know the requirements. What type of signals do yo=
u need to control a dom=F3tica system? RS485? Digital? Analog for temperatu=
re sensors?=20

Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
Is too soon, in this moment, is a first idea, but I will work with analog inputs, digital
inputs and digital outputs. I need a tactil screen for supervision and control too. A
small "SCADA".
Sorry for my english.
Thank you.

Hello,
I need to Know if it's posible the following configuration with rabbit elements:
a web SCADA for domotic supervision and domotic control.
I need realise control and supervision from a touchscreen and the panels must be web and
they must allow remote access. Is this posible with OP7200?What options do i have?
Sorry I have not much knowledge on these issues.
Thank you.

Hi
I think you need to look at all the systems you wish to control and how a remote
controller can talk to each of them. That will form the basic outline of the SCADA system
you need.
You mention control and supervision of a heating system. The domotics idea usually is much
more extensive than that. What is your goal and what cannot be achieved with one of the
PID controllers from Honeywell.

Hello,
I'm looking for different posibilities of various manufacturers. I just need to know if,
with this conditions (a web SCADA for domotic supervision and domotic control and control
and supervision from a touchscreen and the panels must be web and they must allow remote
access) it's possible to use Rabbit products. Then, final instalation will depend on the
sensors, the comunication bus,......).
Thank you.
