Discussion Groups | Rabbit-Semi | RE: sychronous help needed for rabbit 3600/3610

This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions, flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.

Frank,

I have been doing the same thing. I am using the Rabbit HDLC libraries and
so far they seem to work quite well. Working with a Rabbit 3000 I can get
solid comms at up to about 800K. I am soon going to be switching to the
R4000 to take advantage of the higher clock speed and DMA channels, but you
might want to take a look at the HDLC_Packet library to get started.

Subject: [rabbit-semi] sychronous help needed for rabbit 3600/3610

Looking for a consultant that has experinece with synchronous
communication on the rabbit. We are looking at an HDLC like protocol
but would prefer to use as much of the Rabbit hardware as possible to
do the low level stuff like bit stuffing and looking for sync
flags.
