Discussion Groups | Rabbit-Semi | Modbus Protocol lib

This is a group for folks designing and programming embedded systems using the Rabbit Semiconductor C-programmable microcontroller. Rabbit Semi is a spin-off from Z-World who makes a variety of embedded modules and tools. This group is not affiliated with either Rabbit or Z-World, but is a user forum for sharing ideas, asking questions, flaunting knowledge, and other typical user group stuff. The Rabbit is a powerful uC, supported by a full-featured C-compiler.

Modbus is an add on module that you have to pay. To give it to you would be stealing.

As Steve pointed out the Rabbit Modbus Lib is an add-on module to DC.
There is a Modbus lib posted in the files section. I looked at it once
but never used it. I have no idea how complete it is.

I've done my own limited Modbus implementation based on the
specification. It's not that hard, especially if you don't need to
support all the functions.

Modbus is very easy, it's probably the simplest of all the "industrial"
protocols.

I have used this Modbus library (downloaded from files section)

It works great.

My application commands six VLT Frequency Danfoss Drives as a MASTER RTU and
answers to a Schneider PLC as a SLAVE RTU.
