A discussion group for the PICMicro microcontroller. Also called the Microchip PIC, this list is dedicated to the use and abuse of this fine, simple, microcontroller. Close to topic posts are welcome, ie. general electronics.

As far as I know the CAM module has not been implemented on the PIC18's. You can however attach a Microchip CAM module to a PIC18. See the page: http://www.microchip.com/10/appnote/category/analog/can/index.htm David >Does anyone know if there exists any apps.note on how to use the CAN module >on the PIC18Cxx8 ? |

Yes, I
made a typo as well, as well as a mistake.
There
are 18C chips coming out with CAN, some are in production, some are only in
development.
For
details of the CAN see the following page.
http://www.microchip.com/10/appnote/category/analog/can/index.htm
There are also lots of other references to CAN
like:
18C
reference manual:
http://www.microchip.com/10/lit/pline/picmicro/refernce/index.htm
and on the chips PIC18F's, but these are not available
yet.
http://www.microchip.com/10/lit/pline/picmicro/families/18fxxx/index.htm
There is
also some applications notes:
http://www.microchip.com/10/appnote/category/pic18/index.htm
I see
that there are some devices with USB coming out. Excellent. And these devices still have a
UART on board.
