PIC Erasing Problem - Shamoon - Dec 14 11:58:00 2003

Hey,
I have the 16F628 and when I try to erase it, it doesn't fully
erase. In the beginning, some data is still left and the rest turns
to 3FFF. I'm using the EPIC programmer and the EPIC software..

Any help?

Shamoon

I use the JDM programmer with the 'F628 and don't have any problems. Is your
power supply OK? Erasing and programming takes more power than normal
running.

Correction...
It does erase, however when I program it, it stops at the same place
every time and says "Code Programming Error at 0100". And when I
read what's on the chip, it's all blank after 0100.

The chip is probably faulty. Have you tried another one?

It's possible. I tried a 16F84A, but my program won't work!

Pause 1000
Serout 1, N2400, (254, 1)
Pause 1
Serout 1, N2400, ("Hello World!")
