I just finish building a wisp628 programmer and I tried using bumbleBee to program my first PIC , a 628 based led blinker. (just as described on Wouter's page, thanks Wouter for all the work on this project !) The bumble bee acknowledges the programmer and can retrieve the firmware version but It cant find the target ID so it can't program it. I'll try with Wouter's xwisp when I finish downloading the huge python thingy on my very slow connection. Where do you think the problem might be ? I re-checked all the wisp628 connection and didn't find anything. Can it be the bumbleBee ? Anyone has some experiance working with it ? Thanks, Weis. |

A 16c84 and 16f84 (non-A) do not have an ID. I tried it both on a breadboard with internal oscillator (your blink a led example) and on a prototyping board with the same result. I think there is something wrong with my programmer but I cant find the glitch. Thanks. |

Is it a build-and-tested, the kit, or DIY? If kit or DIY check the circuit, especially the Vpp creation and the connections from PIC (in the programmer) to PIC (target). I test a B-A-T before shipping. One customer reported broken wires in the connector, so you could check that.
