Trouble with IDE V6 and using parallel cable - zang206 - Mar 19 5:23:32 2008

I bought a OOPic ver B.1.0 a few years back and had no trouble using
it for a while. I had to shelf it for a few years and now that I am
trying to use it again I am having troubles configuring the OOPic IDE
to use a parallel port to program it. I am able to manually set the
port to 378 Hex and do a "find delay" ok. But when I try to do "find
parallel cable" or save the manual settings I get an error box saying
"Internal Error in PortInp of I2CFuncs." I have googled the error
message and also searched this group and could not find any answers.

I am using WinXP and have made sure the port is turned on in the BIOS.
I have also removed and reinstalled the LPT port in WinXP settings.
I also tried using OOPic IDE v5 and V6. IDE v5 will just crash with
no error box when I try to setup the parallel port.

Thanks for any help.

Did you install Port95NT.exe as required? See www.oopic.com/dloadp.html

I overlooked that. For some reason I thought I didn't have to install
it on XP. Thanks for the help. It works perfect now.
