I think TI wasted a lot of time and efforts to prepare data-sheets, user's manuals, etc.
They could have adapted IMPS (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2795.html) and generate every
conceivable "sample code". There is no need for manuals and such.
For that matter, our entire civilization wasted thousands of years inventing and
re-inventing all sorts of "wheels". Had we have Internet to begin with, all we need are a
good search engine and U-Tube. We do not even need a brain.
