Crossworks vs IAR and Keil uVision - householder_lpc - Dec 12 10:36:00 2005

Does the Crossworks environment allow you to build a professional
quality program? Other than the compiler, are there big limitations of
Crossworks as opposed to the Keil and IAR tools?

Thank you for every opinion !

If you're looking to spend up to 4k for development software, you might want
to research the products first, then post your lingering questions.

Useful for quick price comparisons:

Hi,

As nobody has actually responded to this, I thought I'd take a stab.

Sure does. For instance Tyco support it and ADS for their GPS chipsets

I don't think there are any limitations at all.

Query (UART inerfacing with LPC21xx) - Author Unknown - Dec 13 11:21:00 2005

Hello Sir,
I am new to this technical group.
I am workingon Philips ARM (LPC family) controllers.
I was interfacing ST16C554D UART (a Startek Product) with LPC 21xx controller.
I m initializing it properly in my C code.
But due to some reason I was not getting results,
Then I tried to write Initialization code for this external UART through LPC internal UART0.
When I write proper initialization sequence from UART0, I m getting right Transmissions from ST16C554D uart.
Then, I m not able to understand why the initialization code written in main program is not working, though same I m writing from UART0.
So, please help me out to know about this serious problem.

Thanks,
Umang Malhotra
