RC vehicle control using BasicX controller - mae488ugv - Dec 16 11:22:20 2008

Hi guys,

I am new to using control circuits, but understand the basics. I have
a few questions about a project I am working on at school. We are
designing an unmanned ground vehicle that must perform a certain
series of tasks. I was wondering how much controlling servos and
reading pulsewidth signals slowed down the BasicX24. How many
pulsewidth readings and servos can it control with out slowing too much?

Also, would I have any problems reading a signal at 2000 hz? I will
be trying to read the shaft speed of two motors and an engine at the
same time and make throttle adjustments accordingly.

Thank you,
Kyle
