X10Cmd locks up - kme3362 - Oct 12 14:15:15 2006

I am trying to get a simple X10 test program to work but the program
seems to crash in the X10Cmd. I am using a X10 PSC05 powerline
interface and AM14-A appliance module.

I just modified the test program that ships with the BX test board and
tried to run that but have not been able to get it to work. Does
anybody have any idea what could be wrong. I don't have to modify the
wiring between the BX24 the the PSC05 do I? I am using pins 7 and 8
to connect to the x10 just as the demo program did.

I am also looking for some sample code to poll (recieve) my x10
devices (the above controller and appliance modules are 2 way).

Thanks in advance
Kevin

Hello and Good Evening,

I am curious to know if you have received any answer and help on
your post.

I am today in the same situation than you.
I have purchased a BasicX 24 and an XM10E-120.

The XM10E is the european equivalent of the PSC05 and I want simply
to send an On and Off command in X10 to switch off and On a X10 Plug.

Simple but I have not find the right information in the user manual
or on this Group that I have search.
Sorry I am a beginner with the BasicX and I would appreciate some
help, just to make me start the project.
My intention is to use this BasicX to switch Off plugs when the
current in one phase is bigger than the main circuit braker.
The current is read by a Counter which give a pule for every 0.5 Wh
(watthour) .
The problem is that I have a 3 phase instyallation, so I should read
3 line at the same time.
But my first goal is to verify that I can send and receive X10 On
and Off X10 signal , first.
Thanks for your help.

Patrick.
