[AVR club] AVR bootloader Mega128 - subedianjan - Jul 19 9:04:17 2007

We bought the Boot loader application and source code from Priio.

1. I compiled the bootloader.c ( changing baud rate to 2400 and xtl
to 8MHz)
and write_pages.s combined making a project in iccavr 7.13. I burnt
the
project in the microcontroller avr Atmeta128.

2. I ran the boot loader application in PC winxp, tried to download
an
application code.

3. I Pressed Jump to "Boot loader then Download button"

4. It shows the Status as : " Requesting Ack from target boot
loader. Try
#2. and it keeps trying and trying does not time out or responds
with any
error.
5. I am sure my Uart connection ( RS232) is working as I was able to
run
another small project to communicate with micro.

6. Hence, I am not able to download the application to the flash.

Am I following the right procedure?
Could you please let me know what might possibly, I am doing wrong?

When I look at the Memory map in the AVR simulator the data is
writen in upper section in the Memory area ( in the application area)

cheers
