For users of the Atmel AT91SAM7 and AT91SAM9 ARM CPU chips. Atmel has taken a new direction by combining on chip flash and ram with the ARM CPU on a single die. This provides low cost devices for small systems using the ARM CPU.

Hi Everyone,
I'm working on a set of tools for embedded development for ARM, based on the LLVM compiler
infrastructure see "llvm.org"
My tool suite runs on Mac OS X, but should be easy to port to other BSD platforms.
So far, I have been able to establish serial communication with my Olimex SAM7 development
board via usb, and I can send commands to the SAM-BA boot program. However I'm running
into a snag with the file Send/Receive commands. I'm not clear what the protocol for the
file is. It does not appear to be XModem because when I issue a "Send" command, the
response is the sequence "\n\r>" rather than a 'C' (ASCII capital C) as I would expect.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks
Wayne
