For users of the Atmel AT91SAM7 and AT91SAM9 ARM CPU chips. Atmel has taken a new direction by combining on chip flash and ram with the ARM CPU on a single die. This provides low cost devices for small systems using the ARM CPU. This group is to exchange information to help users get started and learn how to use the devices.

SAM-BA problem with AT91SAM7XC512? - Nick Howes - Oct 12 9:35:52 2009

This is a weird one: We switched from using the AT91SAM7XC256 to the
AT91SAM7XC512 on our production boards. As expected, I can detect and
program the new boards with my MacSamba tool > (via the USB port on my Mac). However, the production folks, who
use WindowsXP, cannot program or even detect the board. They updated
to the latest Ateml SAM-BA program but it made no difference. I'm
guessing this is some sort of Windows USB voodoo, but we don't have a
clue how to proceed. Any ideas?

thanks, Nick

I now think the problem might be a marginal pull-up on USB-D+ in SAM-
BA mode. Sorry for wasting bandwidth.
