For users of the Atmel AT91SAM7 and AT91SAM9 ARM CPU chips. Atmel has taken a new direction by combining on chip flash and ram with the ARM CPU on a single die. This provides low cost devices for small systems using the ARM CPU.
This group is to exchange information to help users get started and learn how to use the devices.
Hi all,
I have just seen a text in the book "Arm System Developer's Guide" that says (page
106):
"ARMv5 adds instruction support for 64-bit load and stores. This is available in ARM9E
and later cores"
My processor is AT91SAM9RL64, and looking at wikipedia
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture) my core supports 64 bit operations.
Is that correct, or am I missing a small, but important point?
Mit freundlichem Gruß / Best regards
