Hi all,
I am a control systems student, quite new to microcontroller programming. I
want to use the FP routine uploaded in the files section of this group
uploaded by Gordon. But I'm unable to make out how to use it exactly. I'm
still into reading the microcontroller architecture and gathering
fundamentals, so I'd really appreciate if someone can tell me the stepwise
procedure for using the routine.
1. Where to extract the files? I'm guessing the .lst file in the "lib", and
the .asm file in the "include" folder. Is that right?
2. Whats the syntax?
Specifically, I want to use following simple operation:
Z=aX+bY
Where X and Y are values taken from registers (integer), Z is also an
integer value; and a and b are the floating point coefficients. Of course I
need Z to be the closest integer possible to the expression on right hand
side. How do I use this routine to solve this?
