Want to Buy 68HC12 Motorola SDI Debug Pod - exiprez - Aug 20 16:44:34 2007
Hello,
I am looking for anyone who is willing to sell one or more of the old
Motorola SDI BDM pods. I believe the PN is M68SDIL12. If you have one
of these or know of someone who has one they would be willing to part
with, I would really appreciate getting in contact with them.
Thanks.

Yes - I searched e-bay, Amazon and many other component and tools
search engines. Freescale lists the device as no longer
manufactured. I have a call into them to see if they have some
available (perhaps laying in an engineers desk drawer or something) -
just in case. I would even be willing to produce one if they would
part with the drawings.
I have considered other devices as an option. There are many fine
choices out there. My inexperience with them is making me reluctant
to seek that path. If anyone knows of one of these alternative
products that will work with the Metrowerks HIWAVE debugger and
exactly emulate the Motorola SDI pod I would consider this as a
backup plan.
Thanks

Tell me when you want to come around to pick it up.

Hullo, I'm probably no help but I do have a couple of the P&E bdm pods
but they are for (1x PPC & 1x HC16),, these pods all have the same
general PCB, the difference is in the GAL which can be purchased from
P&E for the princely sum of $30usd.- so could be used and swapped for
the proper GAL. I would sell 1 for cheap, whatever you think is right.

Hello,
I have written a wrapper DLL for my HC12POD.This can run as a SDIL12 with
Hiwave, but with faster
serial communication. Some info on:
http://www.krummsdorf.de/hc12icd/hardwa_e.html
http://www.krummsdorf.de/hc12icd/downlo_e.html
Some parts remains.
Pls e-mail me to my personal address.
Regards,
Juergen

Thank you. Can I arrange to have it mailed to me? I live in the US.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I am looking specifically for the old Motorola SDI pod and unless I
am mistaken the P&E pods are not driver compatible. The device has
to use the Motorola SDIL driver and work with the HiWave debugger.

I have one that I can send you. It's been sitting in a box for 8 or
9 years, so I can't guarantee that it works, but send me your address
off-list and I'll mail it to you.
(At one time I had plans to have NoICE support it, but it never happened)
