HC12compact board flashing - pell...@... - Mar 29 3:19:00 2005
Hi Oliver,I want to program the complete Flash on the HC12compact. So, there is a
29F400 on it, meaning the availability of 512kB flash memory. If I'm right, the flash is
located (from flash point of view) from 0x00000 to 0x7FFFF. On the A4, I see this flash
memory through the PPAGE window which is located between 0x8000 to 0xBFFF. So, the mapping
is: Page window flash --------------------------------------------------------- PPAGE_0
0x008000 to 0x00BFFF => 0x000000 to 0x003FFF PPAGE_1 0x018000 to 0x01BFFF =>
0x004000 to 0x007FFF PPAGE_2 0x028000 to 0x02BFFF => 0x008000 to 0x00BFFF and so on...
Correct? What do you mean with '...there is no flash below $8000'? There is flash below
$8000 from flash point of view. There is no flash below $8000 from A4 point of view. But
nevertheless, StarProg shall be able to program the whole flash memory chip! Do you agree?
BR, Andreas ################################################################## Hi Andreas,
it is true - there is no Flash below $8000. At least, with the memory map established on
the HC12compact. So, are you actually going to to program Flash - or download to a RAM
area? bfn Oliver
